Hey there! My full name is Alexander Elisha James Waters, or Alex for short, and I'm a 16 year old high school graduate living in Kingston South East in South Australia, Australia. My biggest interest is Astronomy, which has made me choose, for University study that will begin in 2011, a Bachelor of Science (Space Science and Astrophysics), which will hopefully allow me to enter the career of my choice: N.A.S.A.
My interest in astronomy has ranged for as long as I can remember, and I believe that it began by watching copious amounts of Start Trek Voyager with my Mum when I was a young age.
I'm a member of 4 distributed computing projects over the Net: SETI@home, Einstein@Home, Cosmology@Home and Milkyway@home. I joined these between the 27th and 28th of December, 2010.
If there's anyone out there on this wide, wide world that has a strong interest in astronomy, don't hesitate to contact me! I'm a friendly person that's easy to talk to, and want to make as many friends as I can over these projects.
I was accelerated in my schooling by my parents, teachers and Headmistress of my school, Kingston Community School. I skipped grades 9 and 11, and completed most of Grade 12 at the age of 15.
The picture in my profile is Me on the night before the last day of school- our Grade 12 Muck-Up Night, which also coincided with my 16th Birthday.
