I am 23 years old. I have a B.Sc. degree in Genetics from the University of Isfahan, Iran. Although not related to my field of study, I have am very enthusiastic about cosmology and specially search for extraterrestrial life.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1-I am very optimist about the probability of the existence of extraterrestrial life forms, although intelligent ones might be quite rare. It is important to search thoroughly for them anyways.
2-I think it is very clever of SETI@HOME managers to let non-specialist people participate in a search for aliens. It is a system which benefits both participants and the project's goals. I believe most of the participants were once children who loved night sky and spent hours wondering about what is there. It is very satisfying to be a part of a search to answer that question.
3-Can you explain what is going on when a project is running in my computer?
