Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I suppose. Barring some huge error in the laws of physics, it is likely we won't be able to do anything but have slow motion conversations.

A Beacon? Doesn't seem harmful or beneficial unless we're really lost on basic physics.

I run SETI@home at work, since my company won't allow us to shut off the computer and it might as well do something besides scrolling the random number generator.
