Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
In years gone by I ran my own 1420 Mhz. Hydrogen Line receive station using a 20 foot parabolic dish, GasFet amplier and recording software. Due to life's circumstances and job relocation I no longer have the property for such an antenna. The next best thing is to assist in Project SETI. As for my view on the project I think it is great as more data can be processed by using multiple computers via the internet. The truth is out there. It is only a matter of time.

The only suggestion is: Years ago I ran SETI@Home when you could watch the FFT graph. When I rejoined the SETI project I installed the Enhanced Version. In doing so I never see the FFT graph and data as it is processed. The enhanced version simply runs and uploads when finished. It would be nice if the software contained a basic log sheet for each task ran where preliminary findings could at least be logged before that task uploads. IE possible hits.
