| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I think there is someone out there. But I'm not sure we will ever meet such aliens.
Also I like science fiction and such stuff, I can't believe we will ever leave our star system and go out there and find others.
Because of this, our only chance to get into contact is to listen to the stars. And probably to send out a message of our own.
But perhaps there is really a possibility of travelling faster than light, then we should be sure that we send out a signal of our peacefullness and our friendship to every intelligent being. Because the first television picture signals they will receive will surely not show our best manners, because they are from a time about 50-60 years back... |
