Personal background
(updated: 5:3:2008)

Presently, I am working at Saint Martin's University in Lacy, WA. I have degree in Computer Science. My secondary pursuits involve Ham radio and astronomy.

I loved the stars since I was a child and always wondered why so many and so few of us. I have extended the search and fun to visual observation of the stars via an 8" reflector telescope. Both my daughter and I will enjoy this activity, since she is very excited about the study of the stars.

There is life and others out there most definately. Life does not just stay in one place but is ever active thoughout our existance here and out there; only the great distances seperate our eventual communication with each other. Mathematics, astrophysics, chemistry, and other sciences are the same everywhere, only the level of discovery of how it all works is the key.

I hope that very soon we can contact our neighbors and start a dialogue soon, since it will take many years to answer each other. Perhaps we will find a way to super pump light to a point of traveling faster than the parameters we put it into now. The discovery of Tera frequency waves only proves that more types of waves and light are waiting to be discovered.

I believe and comfirm this daily, that we are only on the tip of the iceberg in the world of discovery and the knowledge of that excites me to no end.

I dedicate as many as I can computers to this honorable task and hope to add more in the future just for SETI. With the advent of the 64bit personal computers, we can expect a jump in processing capabilities by the public in the near future (I will be upgrading to the AMD64 soon ;) ).

Keep exploring and keep the hope, THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE (from a fav show).

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
As for the existance of extraterrestrial life, heh, there is no doubt in my mind and soul. When we discover it is just a matter of time (rather clicheish). Discovery has always been a two-edged sword and how we all handle it is a person one. For me, it would be the most exciting one in history!

We should always project a message to all in the universe that we are here. This only promotes the communication and exchange of ideas, values, and hopes in each society or world.

Seti@home is running at my house because of the possibility of knowing another world or race of beings in my lifetime.

The project should be held up and supported (as i do throught the Planetary Society) and all those that participate should give at least $1.00 or more a year. With over 4 million members, that would give the program at the very least 4 million a year funding (which i know is more than that now).
