Personal background |
I live in Weilheim, a small village in southern-Germany. I still go to school and heard from one of my classmates form SETI@home. So I wanted to try it, too.
My school is the ITG, a information-technology based gymnasium, so I have to work often with computers.
My hobbies are percussion-instruments, biking and computers. This wastes such a lot of time, that there isn't any time to do other things. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I'm sure, that extraterrestrial life exists. For what reason shuold we have such an universe, if we were the only life in it??? In so many galaxies MUST be another intelligent life.
I think humans shoul send a beacon to be found. We search for something like this, so why shouldn't the others do so, too. Perhaps we should send out a message in which we tell, that we are friendly and we only want to know, if there is any other life on the planets of nearer sun-systems.
I run SETI@home, because I think it's a way to help the research. I think it's not important that I find the others, it's only a way to be faster, so I think everyone who has an internet-connection should do so.
Although there are many people who don't believe in extraterrestrial life, I think this project has to go on. When anybody finds something, everone will believe.
My suggestions: Go on in that way, and try to find more users, running SETI. |
