Personal background
well really i'm nobody special. not college educated but not an idiot. interested in the cosmos, always have been. not a big fan of money, but that's probably because i don't have it. i try to take a scientific approach to life and all the little activites it's broken down into. i'm in a heavy metal band, not because the teenage rockstar dream, but because if you work hard enough there's a living to be made.. and it's fun while it happens..
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
i run seti@home because it's absolutly awesome that i can help with such a cool project. of course when one isn't college educated and doesn't have a particular family name your likelyhood of helping the progress of humankind drops immensely. but with this we all have a shot. views on the project are pretty simple: AWESOME! and it's brilliant too because how expensive are those supercomputers? outsourcing is a fine idea, i love it. as ar as suggestions go i really just want to see more information about what my computer is actually doing.. the screen saver is just like a teaser of the signals my computer is processing. and i say advertising.. surely science channel would be happy to run a "download seti@home" ad now and then.. the more the merrier
