I think its unlikely that Earth in Milkу Way is the only inhabited planet. I think and I am sure, that we on the threshold of opening of extraterrestrial civilization. I run SETI@home because the project is worthwhile and SETI is my favourite project. I wish to all the successes in a search! Alex
