Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
A friend on a furry forum posted a thread about distributed computing, and mentioned SETI@home within the thread.

I followed the links he provided and pretty soon I had everything set up. I was eager to try out distributed computing as my PC had recently been upgraded to a quad core processor, testing it out with SETI@home seemed like a good idea =]

I soon found out that my new Nvidia 8800GS could help with the processing, by this time I was beginning to realise how well my computer would help with scientific research, I fully support all forms of science, and lending my computer's processing power to aid it was a very appealing idea.

I now have BOINC running almost all day now and it fills me with joy to know that I am hlping in what little way I can, to aid the advancement of society.
