Hello All!
My name is Gil. I have never gotten used to writing profiles about my self. I always feel like I'm trying to sell myself to the highest bidder.
Anyway.....
I was born and live in Brooklyn, New York. As most New Yorkers, I love my sports....Baseball, American Football, and Basketball are the main big three for me, but I dont limit my self to just those. I'm in my mid 30' and have no kids and have not been married yet. I have helped raised 7 nephews (yeah, yeah, I KNOW) that have all lived with me since birth.
I'm into digital photography and consider my self somthing of a amateur (very amateur). I have always loved looking up at the night sky. Even with just binoculars, its AMAZING how much more you can see with them. Living in the city all my life I have never really was able to get a really good perspective of the stars because of the city lights. Now that my dad had a house in the Pennsylvania country side, its literally almost like looking at black and white. I try to go there at least a ew times a years just to lay out in the grass at night. I just hope I dont wake up with a bear laying next to me.
I have found I also love playing video games when I can(Sci fi of course). Theres always a good feeling of mental satisfaction of digitally saving the galaxy ;)

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

The main reason for reunning SETi at home is that I think everyone looks up at the stars and wonders. Visual Effects in movies now are so life like, and with the advance of technology,I think its just fueled people fires and imaginations
even more. There are so many different types of energies, stars, galaxies and forces in this universe that we have no idea about, let alone understand.
Beside, I think we all have a desire to be part of something much bigger.
Just imagining this but..............what if earth was just colony? What if a being was Planting life on different habital planets around this and other universes and even dimensions?
