| I am 22 years old and live in Wernigerode, Germany. I am currently studying Computer Science and Economics in the University for Applied Sciences in Wernigerode (3rd semester). Ever since I read the great "First Light" by Richard Preston and "Contact" by Carl Sagan, I am interested in astronomy and the SETI project, therefore I am very thankful for the opportunity to participate in the Seti@home project. |

| Ever since my first discussion about the famous Drake Equation in school, I´m absolutely convinced that extreterrestrial life does indeed exist somewhere in the universe. I doubt that we will ever be able to get in direct contact with other civilizations, mainly because of the great distance that seperates us from them. So, the only possibility to ever learn something about those civilizations is a radio contact, and because of that, the SETI project is probably one of the most important sience projects currently in progress. |
