Personal background
Hello!
I'm Deborah, 31 year old mother of two, full time college student and general Queen of All Things.
I've always had an interest in astronomy and am currently teaching my children how to locate constellations and find objects in the night sky. We just purchased our first telescope and my 8 year old already has a list of objects she wants to see 'up close'.
I've been a regular visitor to the Seti@Home website and finally have a computer fast enough to run the program! Looking forward to seeing if anything interesting pops up.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I absolutly believe that life can exist- and does exist on other planets. I've always said that even a germ is a form of life. For humans to believe we are the only creatures in this vast universe is, quite simply, an arrogant belief.
As far as when we will discover it, and benefits or dangers of doing so, if we are meant to find it, we will. What comes of it will come, and you don't go looking for something without hoping to find it, regardless of outcome. ( Vague enough for ya?)
