Hi,
I'm a 27 years old IT consultant from The Netherlands. Although I knew about the SETI@HOME project, I never thought about joining. Last month I visited the ASTRON/JIVE center near Dwingelo. It was really interesting to see what they are doing there. They also participate in SETI which remembered me to take a look at the web site of SETI. I also like watching series like the X-Files, so why not start your own 'space exploration'. |

1. I think it make sense to believe extraterrestrial life exists, why wouldn't it? We are just one of so many planets, why wouldn't there be another planet supporting some sort of lifeform. On the other hand, why wouldn't we be alone in this universe?
2. Yes, we should send out something like 'This is planet Earth, please identify yourself...!' (and not only in English, maybe they understand Dutch... ;-) Seriously: a lot of different signals in a lot of different frequencies I suppose.
