Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It would be foolish and narrow minded of me to NOT believe in life elsewhere. The vastness of this universe almost dictates that there be life elsewhere. I doubt that we are some "Miracle" race. Since the "denied" crash in Roswell, just look at how much the Human Race has accomplished. I think that most likely, we acquired technology from that craft. The benefits of discovering another race in space could be wonderful...the exchange of information and culture could be wonderful. On the other hand, a race of super strong, 10', 4 armed beings with 6" fangs and an appetite for Human flesh would be better off being left undiscovered.

I think that we should continue to search for life elsewhere. It there truely is life on other worlds, I would like to know it. We owe it to ourselves to do so.
I think that the information that we send to other worlds should include our Alphabet and number system, our technological accomplishments, a current list of the debilitating diseases...with genetic makeup of said diseases... that currently plague us (to forwarn others of potential interaction...this could potentialy hurt us though if another race wants to engineer a disease to rid the planet of us), our history, and our laws.
