Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I originally heard about SETI@home via a Discovery Channel podcast and thought that the undertaking was a truly ingenious concept and an excellent way to access unused resources. After investigating the topic and becoming part of the project I quickly realized that these projects are based on the very core concepts of collaborative research and the positive improvement and extension of human knowledge.
I am truly excited and honored to be a small part of this project.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
