Hi, I am from Latvia, i am 30 years old at the moment, i work at home as independent market trader, also as corrector of books for publishing house, though it is "one of those jobs" i do for a living but not for a soul.
My main hobby? I spend all my free time to educate myself in all directions you can possibly think (but not absolutely everything).
So here goes a rough list of my interests, in no particular order: astronomy, physics, history, psychology, prgramming, AI, chemistry, biology, literature, languages, automobile technolgy, economics, politics, cooking, IT... well, thats what i could think of on the spot. That list is not limited though :)) |

1. I belive that this project is a forerunner of "quantum leap" in our way of thinking. All human kind has to unite to achieve the goal for good of human kind. I belive that by contributing my hardware resources i give my contributiion for that. As it has been said: if we are alone in the universe, its a huge waste of space. I belive we are NOT. Its just that only recently we have started to REALLY look for anyone else. In the cosmic time 10 years so far used - its less than an eyeblink. So, we have to go on, and eventually we will get there!
2. Im in with both mu hands and legs and all the hardware i can lay my hands on!
3. Yes, i belive there is something to be done. Promotion. Too many people are unaware of this project. It got some media hype when it started 10 years ago, and that was good. Too many people just plain dont know that this exist anymore! Nowadays the Internet is quite a bit larger, so we just need to get the word out there! Everyone posts a comments somewhere from time to time, there are a gazillion of blogs out there, so use the word of mouth and the internet - use links to SETI@home as your signatures in message board posts, comments in news portals and so on! |
