I am English, from the far north of England originally, but presently live in Paris, France. I'm 57 years old. I am curious. I am an artist and a writer. I look on life as a journey but don't know its destination(s) or even its roads, most of the time! Artistically, I am involved especially in painting, altered books, printing, collage, textiles, mixed media work. As a writer, I am currently writing a mystery novel. I sometimes write poetry and articles. I read a lot, about everything, including how to write mystery novels! I like gardening. I like movies, visiting chateaux and medieval etc gardens, art exhibitions and fairs. Browsing through book shops, computing, techie geek stuff. I do not like cruelty to children or animals. I'm a vegetarian, which means I don't eat meat or fish.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run Seti@home because I believe there must be other life in this extraordinarily vast universe and that indeed, there is evidence to suggest that there have been visits already from ETs. It excites me that I can play a part in a plan to make contact with other life forms. I only hope they are friendly!
I believe the project is extremely important and necessary. To make 'official' contact with ETs will be one of the greatest leaps forward for mankind of all time. My hope and wish is that such contact will enable humankind to be more loving and compassionate and that wars and starvation and cruelty will come to and end here on our beautiful planet (that we are currently in the process of destroying).
