Personal background
I am a 22 year old Wisconsinite looking for our galactic neighbors. I'm currently taking a break from college, but plan to major in astronomy. I kill time by watching the night sky, looking for ET, watching movies, cruising the Internet and messing with my old stationary engine (1918 Hercules 3e)for those who know what that is.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run S@H because it is mathematically impossible that we are the only intelligent life in the universe, and probably the galaxy. I feel that it is only a matter of time before we make first contact. I also feel that any alien civilization that can reach out to there neighbors won't attack us unless we force them to defend themselves, hopefully we won't do this.

The only suggestion I have for all Seti projects to to branch out to other potential communication methods; neutrinos, tachyons, light, gravity, etc.
