Hey, I'm from the northeast in the US. I load Seti@home on every computer I encounter. I am a full time student at Fitchburg State College studying Computer Information Systems.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe that there is life somewhere other than this planet. What a waste the universe would be if there wasn't. If there is life elsewhere I don't think that we would be able to detect it with conventional means. I think it's a pretty big long shot to believe that aliens will just happen to be using the radio waves we are looking for. Like most users, I run Seti@home in the belief that in the 1 in a googolplex chance that anything is ever found I will be a part of it.
