Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home on my computer because I believe that in the shear vastness and size of the universe, whereby there are billions and billions of stars occupying our galaxy, the chance of us being the only inteeligent life in the universe is proposterous and single minded. We are finally detecting planets outside of our solar system in greater numbers as the weeks go by. Now if we could ever discover planets (when the technology comes around)that have the basic building blocks, like here on Earth, that allows life to evolve then we have a really good chance of finding other sentient life in this galaxy.
