Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I wish the SETI program well and hope that I might make some small contribution; after all, "Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence".

I have always thought that the 'discovery' (or vice-versa) of ET life would have the most profound effect on how we perceive the Cosmos and our place within it.

Whether we are totally alone, or inhabit a Cosmos full-to-the-brim with life of unimaginable complexity and variety really is immaterial; either way, we have an enormous responsibilty upon our shoulders!

I truly hope that our legacy will be one of which our decendants will be proud. Our lives are little more than the summation of the choices we make...
