Personal background
Hi cyber space,

I’m male and 46 years old. Been living in Melbourne, Australia for the past 15 years. Before that was living in the States, Chester County, PA.

As far back as I could remember my father was reading or holding some Sci-fiction soft back book. He covered a whole wall with the ones he read. When I was about six years old, he turned me on to Sci-fiction when he took me to a Sci-fiction film festival. The movies were “Silent running” and “Andromeda Strain”, I was just blown away, since then I was hooked to sci-fi, then I started reading his books and most had some adult themes if you know what I mean. Since then I was hooked on technology, flying, space and becoming an astronaut, the later unfortunately didn’t come true.

Later my true passions of flying and astronomy were within any average person. Anytime I'm outside walking always have my head tilted back looking at the sky, more so at night, thinking what if? In the later part of my life, I did learn how to fly not powered aircraft but gliders “sailplanes” not para-gliding or micro lights, real gliders. Love to learn hang-gliding. Never really knew what gliders could do until I started to lean. Most people would not know open class gliders can easily stay aloft all day with no power, do 200 mph at fast cruise! Later found out a bonus, these aircrafts are designed to take more Gs+/- then a pilot could withstand in full on aerobatics, love that stuff. Enough of that hope you learned something new about gliders, take a joy flight when you’re near an airfield with gliding operations.

What I do most in my spare time is floating around cyber space, guess I turned into a different type of astronaut, cybernaut or cyber-nut !!! Love the net, since I’m a technology nut the net is a lot faster then the encyclopedia Britannica since I do a lot of research. Spend half my time in nasa.gov.com, the best site for any arospace nut could absorb in a life time. And not porn, that is just crap, weird !

So I finally loaded SETI on my PC, been wanting to participate for some years, tried to load it a few times but couldn’t get it to work right but got it now. Well that’s about it for now, maybe I’ll join one of your teams later.
