Personal background
I'll bet if we find something, it'll be coming from Marfa, Texas. Or it will reveal itself on nights in Alaska when the Northern Lights are vivid.

Finally, after about 15 years, got broadband. Whew. I heard about the SETI project many years ago and now, I have it.

I'm a transplanted Texan, now living in cold Illinois. Not Chicago, though. My little town here is about the same size as the one I came from.

Being semi-retired, I get to do what I want. :))) I volunteer, tutor, mystery shop, give advice (free), cuss and discuss (a hoot), opine on every subject under the sun (sometimes the listeners wander off, but I figure they're going to the bathroom), read a tremendous amount, and obsess over my email. All in all, I think I'm a darned interesting person. Just to be safe, though, I haven't polled my family and friends on this.

My husband and I are separated. He lives in New Orleans and our marriage has never been better. There's a lot to be said for a telephonic relationship.

Since the 50s are the new 30s, I'm about 36 years old. Just approaching middle age. My body has not caught on to this new trend and insists on undermining my MA state of mind. C'est la vie. C'est la guerre.
