Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
A1. Here i have this lovely computer, sitting here, idling. Its hands are the devil's play thing. If it had hands. So why not put it to use? The PS3 is folding proteins, the computer can search for extra-terrestrial life.

A2. While I believe that its very possible for life to exist beyond our own little plot in the universe, I think searching for them via radio is limiting and perhaps even a bit too terrestrial. If they are advanced, perhaps their method of contact and communication is advanced with them, beyond our scope of technology or comprehension. I recall some chap picking up biological signals, similar to those produced by plants, but he was receiving them from the sky. While there may be no foundation to his claims, its in keeping an open mind for those possibilities that will produce results.

A3. Nope.
