Personal background
OUR SEARCH FOR E.T

Hi

My name is Nick

I have been searching for ET on and off for more than ten years now.

My first computer was a Pentium 90mhz crunching SETI classic WU'S until it stopped working, after that i had a Pentium2 400MHZ crunching away for a few more years, I realized i needed a more powerful PC so i made an AMD dual core 2.2mhz cpu rig with 1 gig DDR400 dual channel memory on a Gigabyte socket 939 k8nf-9 mobo with a nvidia GTS250 graphics card with Cuda. Yah Cuda. (This is now my wifes computer and its not running Boinc anymore, no more Cuda.)

I hope that we can find life in the universe in my life time, so keep on crunching every one.

Here is my BOINC rig.

* Boinc and Lunatics installer v0.41 app
* Asrock 890gx Extreme 3 Mobo+ SB 850 chipset
* Amd Phenom 11 1090t six core black edition CPU
* Ati HD 5850 1GB Graphics card (burnt out)
* ATI R9 280x (new card coming)
* 16 X Gb 1333mhz G.skill memory
* 1 x WD 1Tb Black edition hard drives
* Acer G245HBMID 24in Widescreen LCD Monitor
* Blue-ray burner
* corsair GX 750w psu
* Antec 300 gaming case black with window mod
* Windows7 professional 64 bit
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run seti because i think we can't be alone in this universe because its to dam big, there has to be someone else living like we are, trouble is there is to many places life can be that its going to take a long time to even look at all those places.
