I am a scientist and a back yard astronomer and have a 90 mm reflector from Meade that I use with my sons to gaze at the universe around us (when it's not raining!!).
Currently I live in Vancouver but I'm originally from Chicago.
Space exploration is amongst the most laudable enterprises of humanity. We will find other life forms and hopefully with programs like SETI be able to make contact.
All the best!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
You are embarked on a very useful enterprise as I mentioned above. I don't know if you get enough press. What are you doing to get more people involved?
How about a collaborative effort with JPL or NASA whereby you could have a link on their home pages?.....just a thought.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
