中学生の時、「cosmos」を見た。そのとき、セーガン博士に憧れて天文学者になりたいと思った。
夢は叶わなかったが、大人になって、SETI@homeを知った。コンピューターを持っていれば、誰でもＥＴＩの探査に参加できると知って、ずっとその時を心待ちにしていた。
今日、このときが来たことを、喜ばしく思う。

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
１．プロジェクトのことを知ったときからやってみたかった。
２．やることに意義がある。答えが出るのがわれわれの世代である必要はない。相手は
　　何処にいるかわからないのだから。
３．いずれなにか助言できる知識を身につけられればよいが、現段階ではない、としかいえない。
