Personal background
I live on the beach in Southern California, am 63 and have been permanently disabled (mostly by low-back pain) for over 7 years. I was a very busy, happy magazine editor until an accident ended my career. I have been feeling rather useless and the invitation to rejoin seti@home made me realize that, while I am unable to work, my computer can! I grew up teething on telescopes and astronomy was my favorite college class. I'm stuck at home now with my 2 best friends: my TV and my computer. It will feel really good knowing that my computer is making a contribution.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
My father and a brother are seti@home participants. And I think the search is very important and feel honored to be of help.

My suggestions are: Find a way to use plain text. Supply seti@home's url in the setup process; don't make me guess. In fact, supply it in the invitation to participate again. The only reason I left was that, when BOINC took over, setup was too difficult for me.
