Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
There is no doubt in my mind that extraterrestrial life exists. I'm a big fan of Carl Sagan and subscribe to his arguments. There is liable to be a variety of levels of maturity and sophistication with regards to different species in the universe. To my mind this means that there are likely to be both benevolent and malevolent aliens. What concerns me is that the difference may not be apparent to us, particularly at first. This indicates caution to me in announcing our presence.
