Profile: Mr. Bean on holiday in Florida

Personal background
Age 54, have worked in many professions, but for the last 16 years have worked in the medial field.

Took a class in Astronomy many years ago at the school where J.A. Hynek taught, hoping to learn from him, but never got the chance...have always wondered...before and since.

I do believe SETI to be very important work. I make a very small contribution to a large effort of others whom I envy in wondering for a living.

I am a strong believer in ethics and the preservation of human life from a religious perspective.
Science and religion need not be mutually exclusive.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI just to make a small contribution to the effort.

In my view the governments of the world need to promote SETI efforts both through finance and publicity much, much more than currently shown. I'd like to believe that a common politically neutral (hopefully,)goal would pull intellectual pursuit, education and technology in a forward direction to benefit all in more ways beyond imagination.

Just a thought.
