Personal background
My name is Clint Christensen, and I'm 17 years old. I live in Whitewood, South Dakota, and attend Sturgis Brown High school. I'm deeply interested in science, chemistry, and space. I am planning to attend school of mines in Rapid City, South Dakota and pursue a degree in nanoscience or nanotechnology, with a minor in chemistry. I found out about this program when researching NASA spinoff's for a school report. I'm a full fledged supported of the space program and am defending it in class against a classmate who calls it a waste of precious time and money. I know I will win the debate because there are far too many positives over the negatives.

I am an avid snomwobilier and at time of writing this, have a 2007 Arctic Cat M8 and have many trips planned. The guys we ride with and have pictures of at www.mountainrednecks.com

I also have a love for big lifted pickups. I currently have an '87 Ford F350 with 6" lift and 37" super swampers. I have a 429 out of a '69 Thunderbird in it and have done some other modifications to the body and suspension.

I live in Whitewood, South Dakota, a town of about 1,000 people. So there isn't much to do out here, so I spend a lot of time on the computer. I play a few online games and partake in quite a few online communities. I'm glad I found this program because I had looked into trying to help with all forms of space or biotech / medtech research. Both of my parents have had cancer, my mom twice, the second of which she may not make it, so I'm also running projects on the proteins.

If anyone would like to chat with me, feel free to drop me an email at majorgunhoe@gmail.com

If you know of any other projects that could use help, I'm more than willing to do what I can.

Cheers,
Clint Christensen
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think this is an amazing way to reach out and include people in research and also a great way to use 'idle' resources. I run this project because I'm a supporter of space exploration and advances in science and technology. The only suggestion I have, is make it a little easier to get signed up for projects, it took me quite a bit of digging to get into some of the projects, and I think there would be more people if it was a little simpler, but really, it's an amazing project!
