Personal background
I'm young scifi-freak from Finland currently at the age 21 (21st march will be 22), interested in everything you can find in space. Hobbies among other stuff is reading & searching the web for discoveries that have something to do with space or spacetravel - or anything in-between. I'm the like of guy who happens to zone out every now and again thinking what it could be, or how it would like in few thousand years. This is the very same reason I am so interested in Seti@home and have been a member for ages, can't even remember when I began calculating seti at my computer. Then, I had this 3 or so years break for reasons I can't remember and now I'm back again - trying to catch up where I left off.

I'm silent, peaceful fellow who really doesnt care too much what happens around myself, as long as its not too noisy nor does have anything to do with violence. One of the hobbies is my pet dog Sarmi, she's old (soon 15years old) but still like a puppy, active and crazy as ferret (In a good way). And rest of the stuff I do or like has something to do with information technology. Think thats pretty much it.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why on earth am I participating?
Well, I run seti@home in the hopes of someday finding... Something, anything... out there. I've always dreamed about extraterrestial life and possibilities universe could offer us - and I also believe more than very strongly, that we are not alone. The chances for one planet in universe to have intelligent life? Extremely non-existant. We just need to look in the right place at the right time...

My views about the project
This one is hard, as I dont really have so much views about it. But in short, it's something someone has to do and its good its us and not someone else. Also, it's made happen and reality, in my opinion anyway, in a good way. It works and it is pretty effective, atleast thats what I think. Good to have the project and its important considering mankinds existence and future - one day We will, most propably, find someone out there. So why not look with what he wave?

My two cents...
Suggestions... I'm one of the persons who usually have always suggestion or two to make, except this time. Gotta tell something still. :)
I didn't like the BOINC-thingie, but now I've gotten used to it and it seems to work... What I'm hoping is that there wont be similar hop to something else anytime soon (within the next... 5 or 10 years, if possible). Other than that I think you guys are doing great and I have no suggestions to the good or bad!
