Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I truly believe that life exists anywhere else than on Earth. However, I don't know how to describe this life. Life does not have to be like a human with intelligence, face, arms, legs... It can be totally different. Now, it is of course also possible that an intelligent life exists and that this life contact us or did it in the past. If the supposed life exists and contact us for years and centuries, I think there is no danger to meet them. If they wanted something bad to us, they should have acted for a long time. However, there should be other negative points for us... A stupid example: on Earth, we can not live with different people without any problem so with non-Humans... Religions should also be a problem (I am not believer), economics also...

2. Sending an information should mean that they use same ways of contact as we, which is for me something totally unbelieveable. However, if it is possible, we should tell them that we want a public contact - not only for some leaders - and want to learn about them and exchange our knowledge, try to understand how they live and evoluate...

3. This kind of project SHOULD help ufology to find the truth. Finding a positive signal is for me something in the fiction because of the enormity of the question. However, if everyone participates in this program, maybe we should finally find the truth! Congratulations to SETI@Home project members!
