Profile: Vladimir Hriadel

Personal background
DOB: 28.IX.1934
POB: Hoština, Slovakia (former Czechoslovakia)
Lived in Canada from 1937 to 1950. Returned with parents to Czechoslovakia in March 1950.Studied mechanical engineering, lated economics and management of production units.. Most of my productive life I was employed in international steel trade business. I have been retired for over 12 years, mostly just loafing around picking my nose. I have had a keen interest in astronomy, astro physics and everyting connected with the Cosmos since boyhood. I therefore would like to take part in SETI project. I belive it will in time be successful!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think, that at this stage of the development of human civilisation which has, compared with the vastness of the Cosmos, very limited sources of energy, the SETI project is the only means of harnessing the idle energy that actually is being wasted, even if this project covers only a minute fraction of the vastness of Space. I believe that SETI will be successful in finding a signal source of ETI even if there still wo´nt be enough energy to establish contact. We will know they are out there and that we are not alone in the Cosmoc and in time Man will have the resources to establish actual mutual contact. And I am sure there will not be signals from only one source.
