I run SETI@home because it make me feel that I am contributing to furthering science,and I am putting my computer's idle time to very good use.
The Project it important to everyone, when it finds something , and I feel it will , it will change our understanding of the universe. Hopfully it will also force us to reconsider our place in that universe.
