Personal background
A useful and interesting way of helping to search the sky's, to find life if its out there and maybe the odd rock or two flying around. I think it is a very positive approach to the general problem of the day, 'never enough money'. Ordinary people can help and most are willing to. I am assuming that we will be looking for any large rocks or debris from space that may come our way in the future, but if not, maybe in view of our past history we should. While I am not a believer in U.F.O.s I look forward to the discovery of life on other planets.
I will be 60 at the end of this year, I am female, have two grown up children and seven rescued cats, my life is very busy most of the time and I am the sort of person who likes to occasionally just stand and stare. I am interested in most scientific theory's but do not believe all I read and hear about. I believe in the ecology of the planet and global warming, but have a keen interest in human history and volcanic eruption throughout our planets history and find that volcanos are more likely to cause global warming than the human race. I think we are a lot less important to our beautiful planet than we like to think, we are merely guests here and we should treat our host far better than we do. I am retired but when working, I was an assistant to the Co-ordinator of Age Concern, our remit was to ensure all elderly people who left hospital (were we were based) had all the help that was available to them. This meant co-operating with Social services, G.P.s and all Voluntary agencies applicable to the person being discharged home. The most enjoyable part of the work was visiting the elderly patients and their families, it is true that most elderly people are like an unopened book, a very good novel most of the time. My hobbies include reading, animals, walking, any form of history and art classes.
