My name is Susan Ferebee. I am a professor in Information Systems with a Ph.D. from Nova Southeastern University. I teach programming, Web deveopment and project management. I have been interested in SETI for many years and I felt excited to be able to share my computer and contribute to this work. I would be interested in any additional opportunities to be involved in this project.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think SETI@home represents the unique power that the Internet provides to further scientific research and to allow anyone the chance to feel involvement and to contribute to work that previously appeared to be done only in the ivory towers of academic or governmental institutions.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
