Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am a firm believer that extraterrestrial life exists elsewhere. I don't believe they have been to earth given the vast distances in space. It's inevitable that we contact others someday, it might be a few hundred years down the road before we really know though. The benefits are bringing mankind together, technology and culture exchanges.

We should transmit a beacon. Then others will contact us. We should send info about who we are.

I run SETI@home because it gives my computer something to do while I'm not using it. It's also a good cause.

Suggestions would be that eventually we start processing units other than those collected in Arecibo.
