I am a male, 60 years old, recently retired from the Illinois State Board of Education. I have Batchelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics with concentrations in number theory and probability/statistics. My scientific interests are cosmology, the Standard Model, quantam chromodynamics, string theory, complexity theory, and, of course, SETI.
I belong to the Planetary Society and subscribe to Sky and Telescope. My library contains the works of Hawking, Gell-Mann, Thorne, Penrose, Forward, Lederman,Sagan, Asimov, Gleick, and many others who have written treatises in the past 20 years.
I've wanted to participate in SETI from its conception. I can now realize that dream with my own computer. |
