I think it is foolish to think humans are the only sentient species. I think we're surrounded by life in the stars, possibly even our own system of planets. Mans own ignorance has held back the notion of life beyond Earth for far to long. Only once again has man progressed to the point of having an open mind to science and fact, rather than superstition and blind belief. Hope free thought is not lost again to the old way. SETI is just a small piece of the puzzle in which I am proud to be apart.
