Profile: SSGT HOWLE 20 MOS SHAW AFB

Personal background
My Name is Joseph Howle, I am a SSGT (E-5) stationed and Shaw AFB SC. By trade i am a 2w171. I became interested in Seti@home about 6 years ago when i saw a spot about this program on that TV show called the "SCREENSAVERS". Anyone remember that show it was on the Tech TV network. Anyhow i was immediately pulled in and started with the the origianal graphic version of Seti@home but i didn't like it all that much. i still wanted to run Seti@home but definately needed something better. An old co-worker introduced me to the old command-line seti@home. He also set me up with a little program called Seti Spy. I immediately found that the command line seti@home in conjunction with Seti Spy was far more productive. I doesn't have all the extra GUI stuff to drag it down. At the time when i first started using the command line bit, i was running a AMD Duron 600 with about 256 MB of ram and i was cranking out a unit every 105 minutes or less. I wish they would bring it back, don't get me wrong the pretty graphics are nice but i never really have the desire to look at them.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Please bring back the command-line Seti@home
