Personal background
I am interested in many things, and rarely have time for any of them. I seem to go from one interest to another without any notice. I have been interested in computers and computing since 1975 when I went on a field trip to UC Berkley and spent my whole time in the computer lab playing "lunar lander", I believe was the name of the program. It was fun, and I have been hooked every since.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I run SETI@home cause I got asked to join the team, and do so every now and then, but don't have the long time invlovement like the two high ranking members of the team. They have been active for many years, and are much more dedicated than I to this pursuit. Lately I have been running it more and more, and hope to get up to third place here soon. I doubt that I will be able to catch the higher ranking members them in the near future.

2. The project is quite relevant and needs to continue for us to expand our knowledge of the universe and to hopefuly contact some other race in the universe

3. Keep up the good work.
