Personal background
I am 35 years old and have 1 child. My wife and I enjoy our family life very much. My family is the most important thing in my life. I am a security guard for federal inmates, and work with various types of criminals. I enjoy my job very much, though in the back of my mind is why they are there. I am First Nations, and am being re-introduced to my culture. My daughters Native name translates to Grey Wolf. The wolf is her spirit guide. I enjoy reading, sports, spending time with my family, and thinking. I think about a lot of things, which is why I'm here. My family and I live in rural Manitoba. I enjoy the serenity of where we live. I am very curious as to the when, where, and how. I am hoping to meet some people with the same interests for discussion.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I beleive that such a project is most important to mankind as a whole. I am one that beleives that it is IMPOSSIBLE for us to be alone. My culture believes that we are not alone. I guess none of us would be here if we thought inside the box. I want to be able to help further this most important project, and my resources are Setis. I think though, what would this information do to the world in general, being tied so closely to religion. Would we dismiss it, with our need to be "on top" of everything? Can we be scientific and religious at the same time? Probably not. Do you share information with us? I hope so. Being new to your project, I have no suggestions at this time.
