| Retired technical editor...amateur radio operator (old-fashioned morse)...live half-year France. Not sure I can contribute much, if anything, but want to keep up on SETI projects. Abhor quarrelsome msg boards, so avoid reading them. Hope to find some science, visual and audio, that I can comprehend. Good luck and thanks to the serious contributors. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. Because the subject interests me and the site is a great entry. I want to be up-to-date on the SETI project, even if only an observer.
2. I think it is very worthwhile. Even if the stated goal is not reached any time soon, there is still a great deal to learn. I hope the project will continue.
3. I can only hope-against-hope that participants will stick to the stated goal of SETI and this site, and refrain from discourteous and vulgar personal attacks on those message boards that I so rarely read. (These days ALL message boards on all sites, including amateur radio). |
