Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes I do think extraterrestrial life exists, or I wouldn't be doing this. I mean there are so many planets that we don't know about yet and it is hard to believe that we are the only planet that supports life of some kind. I don't think that we will discover it I think it will come to us. As far as benefits or dangers well we can not speculate as to what will happen cause we don't know what the other beings will be like when they do decide to let us find them. I think that we have to be more careful of the beings on earth over reacting to such a discovery. We can transmit all we want but who is to say that we will get a response. What information would they understand? If we can answer that question then we would know what to send. I am running this to help out with the effort to contact other life on other planets.
