Personal background
I'm a 23 year old guy from Chicago, IL (USA) who is currently going to school for Computer Science. I'm a fan of anything scifi, and i truly think (or hope) that we're not alone in this universe! So, if there's anything i can do to prove my self right, damnit i will!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The discovery of intelligent life in the universe other than on earth would be the greatest discovery man has ever made. If we do indeed find out that there are others out there, the SETI@home project stands the best chance of revealing it.

I think that all @home projects are very important. As most computers sit idle for many hours a day wasting power, these distributed computing projects put those processors to use. Any number of todays problems could be solved if more people decided to pitch in by allowing their idle computers to help achieve a common goal.
