| I am 34, a soldier in the Army and an amateur astronomer. I'm in to playing my guitar, creating websites (as a hobby...so far) and seeking a degree in Network Administration. Im close to military retirement and will probably have time on my hands to pursue some of the things I've missed while in the service. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| Why shouldn't I? Everyone should, I think. WIth as many computers in homes as there are today, there's no reason why some of the harder questions and research can't be done a little more quickly (using the resources of home computers). We might just shape our world into something better if we all helped. AS far as SETI goes...well...I can not look at the evening sky and believe, for one moment, that we are "it". No way...too much going on out there for us to be the only ones here to see it. If that were the case, we'd be very lonely, wouldn't we? |
