| Truth is a necessary adjunct to scientific endeavor. While I sincerely doubt there exists another intelligent species out there, I also acknowledge that I really don't know; current speculation is just that... speculation, no substance. SETI doesn't cost me a cent, but does allow me to actively participate in a search for the truth. |
