Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Like to run the SETI at Home software because I think its socially very important to help make these type of ventures more of a norm than exception.

Deliberately ignoring calculations concerning time, distance and nearest neighbour likihood factors, Seti@home is an excellent project and it goes a way to unite sentiments shared whilst at the same time, through inclusion, utilises the power of social digital-communication. The program also provides nice feedback for the participants.

It would be a good idea for the friends and associates of SETI to make every effort to ensure a heavy reduction in light pollution. It is of little surprise that more and more young people grow up unaware of the awesome wonders in the night sky, and that consequently their natural curiousity, and even interest in projects such as SETI@home, is practically curtailed by a thick fuzzy orange glow, A.K.A., the universe around them...
